We had the pleasure of welcoming District Foundation Chair Vic Slaughter to present our program Tuesday night.  It was a good time for our new members to get an insight on the Rotary Foundation and its different levels from clubs to International.

Vic and past President Chip Lindloff presented Chesa Keane with her Paul Harris plus three pin.  Also but not present, Past President Cindy Welch has earned her Paul Harris plus five.

Vic also prompted the Youth Services Committee to pursue submitting a Scholarship candidate as the District may increase the grant another $1000.00.

Another great presentation was to Past President Rick Lierman for becoming a member of the Rotary Endowment Bequest Society. This is another way of growing the Foundation.

We had visiting guests Mark Giulliano, Administrative Coordinator from the Reno Sparks Gospel Mission and Hans Scheurer along with his wife from the Rotary Club of Reno aka the Downtown Club doing a makeup.

Member Raphael Cappucci did a Shameless Plug for the opening of his daughter Ali's new restaurant the Grateful Garden located on S. Meadows Parkway near Smiths.  Scott Maylath reminded us Nov. 7th was the cut off date for ordering Christmas wreaths from his son's Boy Scout Troop.
Courtney Pino let us know the official date and time for the Purple Pinkie Run. It is April 22nd at 10:00 A.M. so mark your calendars.

The Club made it official by approving Melissa Lindell as President Elect.

Here is our newly elected Vic President, Scott Maylath who will become our Club President after Melissa's term.  Scott reminded us he is a military man.  I guess that means we all have a year and a half to shape up.  Congratulations to Melissa and Scott.

It was Past President, Chip Lindloff 's turn to give the percational talk. Chip came west from Ohio where he started his career as a musician that led him to San Francisco.  He later went into marketing, sales and more.  He and his wife wrote down the places they would like to live the rest of their lives and they both came up with the Reno area.  How lucky for us.

It looks like Ricardo Villacoreta is checking out his new Blue Badge. A job well done. He even gave President Leslie a big hug.

See how lucky I am says Ricardo, a free dinner.

Remember we are dark next Tuesday for Election Day.  Be sure to let Lynn Johnson if you or you are not attending the Christmas Party on Dec. 6th.
