CATCHING UP

Many things going on while this mouse was away at play. Our March 1st meetings presenter was Joel Madison, Corporate Vice Present of The Sierra NV Corp. area industry defense and space. Joel's company is primary in developing the Dream Chaser Space Plane. In January of this year they were awarded a fourteen billion dollar contract for transporting cargo to the space station for eighteen to twenty four missions. The presentation was one of our most interesting, if you were not there contact Joel for more information.

Our March 15th meeting brought us a presentation from Susanne Martin, Assistant Professor at UNR with her focus on terrorism. Susanne has written a book on the subject and had information on describing a terrorist among other terrorist events around the world.

The Dream Chaser Space Plane

Our March 4th meeting was finalizing our Shamrock Shindig fund raiser. We also inducted our newest member Bridget Brundige. Brideget's sponsor Joe Musser was extremely proud to present her with her Rotary Pin and certificate.

Unable to attend our Shamrock Shindig members did send me pictures. We don't have the final dollar number yet but all I have heard is the event was wonderfully done. We had dancers, singers, violin players and great help from the Interact Club. Some nice gift baskets that brought in over $1300.oo worth of raffle ticket sales.
