On Tuesday night we were joined by Doug McIntyre with the Reno Sparks Association of Realtors. He shared with us some great information regarding the booming housing marketing in the Reno/Sparks area over the past few years. Unlike when the bubble burst in 2008, this housing boom seems to be different since there are so many jobs and employees moving to the area.
It was very interesting to see that in just a few short years the inventory of houses under $300K has dropped significantly down to just double digits. If anyone has been looking to buy a house, you are very familiar with how quickly houses are selling, and Doug does not see that stopping any time soon. That is great news for the area!
We also found out that the club raised $1,237 from our Bell Ringing efforts over the Christmas Holiday!
Also, make sure to mark your calendars for a Run Meeting at 5:00 pm on 2/20 (right before our meeting). There is still a lot to be done and Courtney and her committee can use the help!
