A meeting full of fun and bargains.

Many guests attended. Great to visit with them, maybe the Christmas party was the last time.

Auctioneer Dennis McCormac did his usual exceptional job.We had a new Vanna this year. I think Past President Chip had the most fun of the evening. A great job by both of them.

The winner bidder for the mystery gift was my mother Edna Ede. Mom cooked and served the Portola Rotary Club for over forty years. You can tell how pleased she was.

We had a guest from the Reno Club (the Downtown Club) letting us know about their fund raiser, Reno Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday February 9th. They have enlarged the event to be held at the Reno Events Center, 400 N. Center St. You can buy tickets on line or at the door.

We were all hoping to have our ticket drawn for a chance at the Red marble. Robin Taber gave it a good try. The pot grows bigger.

Next week is our sponsored Club Speech contest. Sharon Zenz has a good line up for us. Come and enjoy.

Remember to bring your items for our fund raiser. Wine and other items big or small will fit into our arranged baskets. Hey if you bid on something at our Don't Return It Auction and wished you hadn't bring it, we have a use for it.
