Historic Preservation in Reno

Dr. Alicia Barber is a professional historian and writer who works on many initiatives related to history and historic preservation in Reno. She is the author of Reno's Big Gamble: Image and Reputation in the Biggest Little City, manages the map-based history website RenoHistorical.org, and writes a popular e-newsletter about urban development in Reno called The Barber Brief. Her highly visual presentation will explain why Reno's historic buildings have such an important role to play in the city's future.
